Pooja Bedi on Aryan's extended jail time

1 month ago 28

Pooja Bedi joined the bandwagon of celebrities who have come out in support of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan in the NCB’s drug bust case.
Taking to her Twitter handle, Pooja spoke against the extended jail time for Aryan. According to her, if no drugs were found on him, he shouldn’t be made to spend time in jail.

If no drugs were found on #AryanKhan isn't it appalling that an innocent kid is made to spend days & days in lockup… https://t.co/wUCdyTWXGz

She tweeted, ‘If no drugs were found on #AryanKhan isn't it appalling that an innocent kid is made to spend days & days in lockup? Its psychologically damaging to be put in jail for no reason. The judicial system needs a major revamp... such systems create criminals by punishing innocents.’

Aryan, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2, was initially in NCB’s custody and was later sent to 14-day judicial custody. He is currently lodged in Arthur Road jail. His bail plea was heard by the special court last week. The court had reserved its order till October 20.

Following this, Shah Rukh’s ‘Raees’ director Rahul Dholakia had also taken to his micro-blogging site to express his disappointment.
